Even 1,000 photographs wouldn’t be enough to show all that I am thankful for. Ann Voskamp in her book One Thousand Gifts shows the power of the gift of thankfulness in good times and bad.

I won’t show 1,000 things here, just one or three, but even so, I need some help. Thomas Merton describes the feeling that I have best: “The whole world is charged with the glory of God and I feel fire and music under my feet.” (I found this quote first on a fellow bloggers header. However, I can no longer find that person. If you are them, please leave me a note so I can give you props!)
I wrote about this reverence recently in An Altar in the World, about a book by the same name. Here are 3 photos from a recent run in Portland full of that feeling (all are in my feed on Instagram):

Have a fantastic week full of gratitude!
