In the wee hours of Easter morning, when I couldn’t sleep, I spent some time on a glowing screen in the dark editing a photo I had grabbed on the day before, the one thing I did for myself in the sea of expectations and lists.

At 4:00am I had something I liked. Something that said to me both, He is Risen! and “It’s a beautiful day.” The photo reminded me most of Isaiah 58:11 “I’ll give you a full life in the emptiest places.”  Even in the dark of sleepless night and despite a busy day, there are blessings all round. Taste and see that the Lord is good.
